Ask Your First Question

A question or instruction sent to AI is commonly called a prompt. You do not need advanced technical knowledge. Clearly state what you want the AI to do and provide the information it needs.

A simple formula

A useful prompt often includes four parts:

  1. Task: What should the AI do?
  2. Context: Who is it for, and where will it be used?
  3. Requirements: What must be included or avoided?
  4. Format: Do you want a paragraph, list, table, or copy-ready template?

An overly short prompt

Write an advertisement for me.

This lacks context, so the answer may be too general.

A clearer prompt

Write a Vietnamese Facebook advertisement for a nail salon in Westminster. Promote 20% off pedicure services this week. Use a friendly tone, keep it under 100 words, and include a call to book an appointment.

When the result is not right

You do not need to start over. Continue with a follow-up instruction such as:

  • Make it shorter.
  • Use a more natural tone.
  • Remove overly promotional wording.
  • Add a specific example.
  • Rewrite it for a beginner.

What should you avoid sharing?

Do not enter PINs, bank information, medical records, confidential documents, or another person's private information into a public AI tool.
